To put in simple terms, PlantEats is a meal planner. We believe that meal planning plays an important role in optimal health. When you organise, plan and prepare beforehand, you are in control of your meals. It makes you completely aware of the food you are cooking, and what you are eating. It helps you keep your macros and micros in check, and ensures that you are getting a balance of all nutrients.

Other than that, meal planning is known to save time, save money and reduce wastage of food. We’ve put down an entire writeup, explaining how meal planning can change your life as it did ours.

What you can do?

PlantEats wasn’t always a meal planner, we got here through a lot of trials and errors. Here’s what you can do on PlantEats:

Create a weekly meal plan

Start creating a meal plan from any day of the week. If you’re starting from Wednesday, you can always continue planning throughout next week. There is no end to it. Plan 1 week or plan 1 month. It’s up to you.

Three ways to add recipes you love to your plan

Everyone loves options and a little nudge needed to choose that perfect recipe, it could be whipped up in 10 mins or be gluten free. Anything you wish.

  • Create your own recipe: You can create your own recipe in an extremely easy way. Just enter the details, confirm your ingredients, and voila! your recipe is created. Now simply add it to your meal planner.
  • Import a recipe from anywhere on the web: Enter the link you wish to import, and click on import! These imported recipes will be saved to your profile for future use. Since these are not PlantEats’ recipes, you will be taken to the respective creators’ site to view the recipe.

Calculate nutritional information automatically!

When you create your own recipe, and add ingredients, the nutritional facts are automatically calculated, you can view these when you click on the recipe! We are huge believers of calculating nutritional value, we think it’s extremely important, to make sure we get everything we need!

Share your meal plan

Once you’ve created a plan, you can share it with your friends and family! We thought of this especially because I wanted a way to share my plan with my Nutritionist, so she can check out what I’m eating throughout the week!

How do we make it completely plant-based?

PlantEats is a completely plant-based meal planner, partly because we’re all vegan here but majorly because we believe in the idea that being plant-based helps our health, the planet and it’s species to flourish.

We ensure that every recipe created or imported is plant-based. Our entire database contains only plant-based items, which means that we have no animal-derived products.

If by any chance a funny man does import a non plant-based recipe, our technical team that monitors each recipe automatically removes that recipe.
